Meet the town
No chosen ones. Just neighbours.
Everyone you lead lives in Grovehaven, the village in the Hearth Oak. The first hero you meet is a fifteen-year-old squire in armour one size too big. After him: a hedgehog spearman, a three-eyed rabbit samurai, an axolotl who soaks raptors and puddles with the same spell, and a dormouse who tends a sacred altar and gasps at every Legendary. Every hero is a card, every card was painted for this game, and in your Binder the favourites really do grow — from Common to ★5 Prismatic over months.
The Starter Set
Who answers the Rootgate horn
Four answers to the same horn: a squire, a fox, a lantern-bearer and a bear in red plate. The party you're handed — and the measuring stick every other hero is drawn against.
Holo cards
Four rarities, four finishes
Every card wears its rarity twice: in the frame's silhouette and in the holo that moves over it as you tilt your device. Each tier adds its layers on top of the one below, so a Legendary reads across the room.
Carved oak, ivy and acorn-cup corners. A soft gloss and paper grain that catch the light.
Silver filigree and sapphire cabochons. A metallic sheen, a glare band and a scatter of sparkle.
Violet enamel ringed with element runes. A prism foil: rainbow inside the frame as you tilt.
Radiant gold and a sunburst crest. A cosmic aurora with parallax depth and a moving starfield.
Any card can turn up as a Foil, with an extra shimmer over the frame, and a card raised to ★5 can be shown Prismatic.
The card comes alive
Some cards don't sit still
Every Epic and Legendary hero has a living card: the painting breathes, glints and moves under the holo. Tap any of them in the roster below to watch.
The Binder
The whole town, unpocketed
Collecting here means collecting characters: every card is somebody, with a barks file and a bad habit and a role in the story. The Binder numbers them 1 to 100, in collector order — this page lists the same hundred neighbours, from the project's own hero sheet.
